Bali, Indonesia – An island known for it’s forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, beaches and coral reefs. The island is home to religious sites such as cliffside Uluwatu Temple. To the South, the beachside city of Kuta has lively bars, while Seminyak, Nusa Dua and Sanur are popular resort towns. The island is also know for its yoga and meditation retreats.
Cobalt and Tawnys line is ethically made and sustainably sourced in Bali. When it’s time for us to travel to the Island we ensure our accommodations are all made in advance and try to stay in multiple cities as the island has so many unique hidden gems with amazing architecture and decor.
Our first stop is usually Seminyak and this time we chose to stay at Phinisi Villas Bali Seminyak Villa Phinisi is a unique 5 (to 7) bedroom getaway, not even 100m away from the crushing waves of Seminyak beach and a very short stroll to all the hip shops & restaurants of Oberoi Road.
After reviewing our second collection in detail and recovering from JET LAG we moved over to another Villa in Seminyak called The Island Houses (The White House) for one of 3 photoshoots with Glen Krohn planned while on the Island.
The White House is a tranquil haven located in the heart of seminyak district, famous for its beaches, shopping, cafes, restaurants and nightlife. enjoy all what this area has to offer within a short distance, but far enough to simmer down from its famous centre.
We highly recommend this and can’t wait to stay in another one of their properties, well in fact we did, keep reading.
We could go on and on about these villas and they do have a minimum 3 night stay but we didn’t mind one bit. Our next accommodations brought us to another property of The Island Houses known as The Impossible Beach House. Two reasons for the name; It’s location is on Impossibles Beach and it’s almost impossible to get down to. Meaning wifi and internet was a challenge, but in a way it was just what we needed after so many shoots and meetings.
Enter pure vacation mode: a wooden ocean-front house, built in an exceptional location, positioned against the cliff right in front of the famous impossible surf break, located just 45 minutes from the airport and one hour from the heart of seminyak.
Bali is truly amazing! The people and the service is second to none. TERIMA KASIH – is a profound expression of gratitude that literally means to receive and to give.
Aloha and Terima Kasih
